RE: What is good entry point? At this point, I doubt you'll see too many retail investors buying BNK - for the first time. Most on this board have been in for quite some time and have several hundred percent gains. I think there is upside to $10 this year, ~20% gain, but I can also deal with a 20% decline in price without worrying about selling. I think you'd have to be in that frame of mind to enter at $8.
Longer term, if that is what you're after - my DD suggests this will keep going higher and higher, unless there is a buyout. They have huge 2P reserves. Some suggest 6B bbl Oil In Place with up to 13% recovery - thats 750 Million bbls at profit of $25/bbl (thats $18B!) at today's prices and that will only grow at price of Oil rises.
Obvioulsy someone is buying at $8, but seems like mainly institutions.
Think tinman gave someone advice about entering at $6 a short time ago that seems pretty good. Buy half at $8 and if it drops 20% buy the otehr half. If it gains 10% buy the other half (or something like that). If they listened to him, they are probably pretty happy.
