David pescod & Eric Coffin Talk About RVSDP: Your brother and I had a bet for a case of wine, and it looks like we are collecting a case and we feel almost guilty about it, but we have decided to do it again, withyour brother picking Riverstone and we’re picking Minera Andes, what are your thoughts on those two stocks at this time? Once again a ‘Hardrock Analyst’ pick of Riverstonehas already tripled! So what are your thoughts on River-stone and Minera Andes?EC: The new Nami zone that was discovered on River-stone’s Karma project already looks like it has somescale. The next news on Nami will be the remainder of thesamples from a couple of hundred artisanal shafts and probably the samples from a couple of hundred wastepiles samples on a 25 by 25 metres grid. People are hop-ing to see a lot more high grade shaft samples but we’realso very interested to see how the dump samples look. They were sampled on a regular grid which means theyshould be able to contour the sample results to help them target drilling.
San Jose was a totally grass roots discovery by MAI. They optioned it to Hochschild several years ago when the mar-ket was horrible and then spent a lot of their time just financing it to maintain their interest in the JV. MAI andHochschild have had their differences, Hochschild tried to take them over and that was rebuffed. But right now it feels like they have got it up to full production and I think all of the ancillary development costs that seemed to be getting piled on every quarter are mostly done. It is a high grade gold/silver operation with low cash costs that should gener-ate good cash flow for MAI. San Jose still has kilometers of veins that have not been drilled to the odds are good the deposit will continue to grow. MAI also has a number of 100% owned project in the region they are just getting to test-ing now.Minera’s other main asset is Los Azules, an impressive copper project. They have just put out some very nice looking holes off of that. It’s not the simplest location in the world, it’s in a pass in the Andes and it is very high up, but it is avery substantial copper deposit. The current resource is almost a billion tonnes of 0.55% copper including a verygood starter zone of close to 200 million tonnes at close to one percent copper. It’s one of the copper resourcesaround that I am pretty sure is going to find a home at some point because it is large and the grades are quite good. Between that and some of the other 100% owned projects, I’d like to think that they’ve got a decent upside now. It was a long haul with that stock and I’m presuming that there are no more nasty surprises on the PNL side. I think all thedevelopment costs are factored in at San Josenow so they should be generating pretty good cash flow finally. D.P: Thank you Eric! I
