RE: Is it worth it?"The odds,I guess are 50 50.This stock is like going to the casino, you could go home crying your eyes out.I'll wait if the news is good"
That's an intelligent post. Buying a spec stock like this before news is always risky. Especially with one as high as profile as EC, the problem becomes that it's so hyped, expectations are high and people buy before news. Then, even if news comes and it's good, there is often a selloff. The fear of missing out on the big move is apowerful one, but anybody who is familiar with gold stocks like this knows that even after good news, there is a big inital spike, and then it drifts down to gain momentum. If you wait until that drift down, you are putting yourself in a much better position because there is no spec. You KNOW waht results are, and you knw they are good. It takes a lot of the gambling out of it.
There's a feeling that if you're not holding when news comes out, you're going to missout on it. Sure, you mayu miss out on the first 5-10%, but that's a good trade off....5-10% in exchange for knowing exactly what you're buying. If you had bought ARU the day AFTER their first incredible holes, you still would have done veryt, very well for yourself, and eliminated much of the risk.
