RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: IMAX?
RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: IMAX?Thanks. it"s not a problem, as such, it's reality. For 'Hollywood' effect at very long distances, the twin lens, twin camera rig produces that dramatic effect. Rest assured our technology can also lots of 'out of the screen' 3D, but it is comfortable and natural. I once took an Isee3D camera out to the racetrack in the late 90s and was very pleased with the results from shooting horses racing by and even across the other side of the track. I found that because I had viewed so much 3D video, I could get depth perception cues way out over the grounds. It is my personal theory that the brain learns from our 3D and, over time, appreciates ever more depth perception.
Anyway, that's very positive news about Sharp re advanced 3D displays for cellphones and good for us as cellphones are very much a target market. Anything that reduces the barriers to entry is good, and autostereoscopic displays do just that for us.
I see 3D movies are hitting "a traffic jam" in Australia. The 3D movie releases are proving terribly popular and there are, apparently, only 300 3D ready cinemas in the whole country..
T[p. If you want to keep on top of happenings in the 3D, set yourself up for a Google Alert. I had to turn it off recently when I got so swamped with news results (back on now). This industry just seems to be gathering pace even more rapidly than I first anticipated back in November.
Happy Easter, and wellbeing, best wishes and peace to those who don't celebrate this special time.
Nigel.
