Primary Symbol: CMF

The investment seeks to track the investment results of the S&P California AMT-Free Municipal Bond IndexTM. The index measures the performance of the investment-grade segment of the California municipal bond market. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents, including shares of money market funds advised by BFA or its affiliates, as well as in securities not included in the index, but which BFA believes will help the fund track the index. It is non-diversified.

RE: :RE: Agnico/Cumberland/ComaplexRealityCheck09,

Well done on your CMF. That's an amazing hold.

I sure agree with you that management is important. I see too many cases where the company has a decent enough deposit but can't seem to make any operations work.

I use Agnico as may "Gold Standard" for valuing other gold explorers, developers and producers. My rational is that AEM has great management, mines in good locations, relatively high grade ore, a good track record and a wide following among investers. That ensures that AEM fully reflects the future expectation for gold prices which makes them a good valuation standard.

Given the horror stories in the gold ETF and bullion markets, I figure that holding AEM shares is even better than bullion or a ETF. AEM have the gold in the ground, pay you a divident instead of charging you storage fees.

Good luck finding that next CMF. I am sure there are one or two out there.

Cheers,
Dennis
