tagish gold
Is this the property that artic gold and silver had a small mine at in 1972 or does this have anything to do with the venus mine that was in that area in 1972. Was at the venus mine in about 1972 when it closed and managed to recover a large boulder of lead zinc silver and gold. brought back to bc for a soveneir. In those days they built these two mines for about $3 million each and were able to promote the shares up to the $3.00 value and pump them but it wasn't necessary to worry about drill and indicated resources. Before the mine shut down one of the miners shot someone in the bunkhouse and killed him. (Venus gold +silver) This was under federal government control and criminal offences did not have long sentences. This fellow got 3 years for murder. Four years later I worked on a power project west of whitehorse this fellow was hired and the fellows shut the job down until the company laid him off. This is a little off the subject but part of my memory in the Yukon. Promoting was easy to do in thoses days.
