RE: A Great read
RE: A Great readsome more results from Bissa
In 2009, two new holes have been drilled down to 253m and 262m in the main zone. The two holes intersected a number of gold zones with the main one grading 3.3 g/t over 31m (from 219m to 250m along the hole) and 3.26 g/t over 35m (from 224m to 259m along the hole).
They estimate that this vein could hold 300000 oz of gold alone.
Mineralised zone (zone 1) is interpreted to dip steeply, and therefore the interval grading 8.22g/t Au from 50-52m in hole 50 may represent a second mineralised zone (zone 2) ~60m north of zone 1, although this intersection may also suggest that the mineralised zone 1 is a flat vein.
It is therefore possible that a narrow high-grade resource could be defined along one (or potentially two) mineralised zone(s) over a minimum strike length of 200m and potential strike length of >500m.
To-date, all of the RC drilling data and assays have been received and integrated into the database. The trenching excavation and diamond drilling is completed, but sampling and therefore, analysis is not.
Remodelling of the entire Bissa – Zandkom orebody is at a very advanced stage and comprises 3D models of all mineralised zones, DTM, laterite surfaces, weathering surfaces, oxidation surfaces and geology. The completion of the modelling depends on the receipt and integration of the final trenching and diamond drilling results, a relatively straight forward process as the available data density and quality leave little room for reinterpretation.
