I disagree with this statement.  Never is a pretty strong word. If the value of what you pay for decreases you have a loss, paper or realized it is still a loss.  If MXM get delisted would that be a loss? If the asset  that you bought changes from having an interest in a resource to sharing profit (if any) , would that be a loss?

You go ahead and tell yourself you have a loss, go ahead. The art of self deception can be practiced by anyone.

Any way there is a week before we find out how much profit has been shared to the end of the year and how much has been received or spent on that NG well. (profit or loss on the well) .
