RE: DismalThere are only two possibilities regarding the current uninspiring SP. Either the share price is being managed, which is something one could postulate for very many companies, or more likely, there are not sufficient funds flowing into this sector because the average investor still hasn't figured it out yet.

I think the second scenario is the most likely. We haven't seen enough panic to push the resource sector higher yet. Sure, some stocks have done OK but, in general the sector is still languishing and in my view, it's due to overall moderate volume.

This is good news because, right now I suspect the smart money is positioning itself happily in this sector at these stable prices. The chart patterns for ER and a lot of other resource stocks have been pretty robust with little volatility. This is the classic "calm before the storm" setup which will eventually resolve itself rapidly. At that time, it will be difficult for most people to find a suitable entry point. ER never was a good trading stock. It's a long term, patient hold and wait, but thankfully, it's the one stock in my portfolio that I don't have to lose any sleep over.
