both of your thoughts sound kind of "reasonable".

But at the bottom line - one point is UNCLEAR to me:

How comes, that Alexis more than doubled the net losses in 2009 ?
I can understand somewhat .. in Q4 2009 (Garson aquisition) loss: over 2 million USD ?
In Q4 2009, loss is *only *due to Garson purchase ?

What about the rest of the year 2009: where are the losses coming from ?
How can they loose with working mines, at so high gold prices ?
E.g.
Production costs: 767 usd / oz and
Avg Sale price: 1140 usd / oz ?

Where is all the money ?
Why is no profit left ?
(I must have overlooked something, I am sure.
