RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Luigi you take'a too bigga bitI don't know how they do things in your neck of the woods but here in Alberta the land-owner has very little ability to stop oil and gas exploration. The government of Alberta grants the lease and the surface-owner has no alternative but to accept some token payment from the explorer in exchange for access (usually around $1200 - $1500 annually). Sure there is the odd in-breed who has a hard-on for the industry but the RCMP make short work of them if their resistance becomes a problem. In addition, many of those land-owners make either their first or second income from the oil and gas industry so it's not just an annual stipend but a regular pay-cheque for them as well. I am, incidentally, one of those land-owners.
