RE: Drop in Price Antonio,
Thanks for checking with the company about what happened and posting the same. It was surprising to see a drop after the good news. They have over $70m in cash after raising money recenly. So cash, as pointed out by somebody, was not the factor. Also 'Sell on News' cannot result in a drop in price from $2.79 to $2.13 when the fundamentals of this company are excellent. I was also surprised at the jump in the volume traded today - from a daily average around 400,000 to 2.2 million. It also happened in the last half hour. It appears the second reason is the right one - some firm attempting to stick it to the company by driving down the shares in the last period. I first thought somebody was dumping the stock thinking the mine was situated in Columbia. Ventana, which has mine in Columbia, went down to $8.03 before recovering to $9.03 today.
