Volta - Nassara Gold Project

Volta - Nassara Gold Project
I think Volta updated their site and in particular their Nassara project page.
I could be wrong on that but ever since I alerted my associate Trendtrader to Volta -and he thus also invested in them- I follow them on the spot.

So, not only will they finalize the National Instrument 43-101 ("NI43-101") compliantresource before the end of June 2010, they will also be starting drill work on the Nassara Gold project.

Volta Resources will make one bright and sunny summer....that's for sure!

I have never heard of gold eating termites so YES...I AM and have good reason to be quite BULLISH on Volta without feeling much regret in being as bullish as I am cause sometimes that comes across to others as being somehow involved or benefiting from posting or whatever.

Well, plainly speaking, if I really was to think that $1.40 was the absolute high this stock was gonna make this year then YEAH...I would agree...and would call it pumping.

However, I think Volta Resources has everything going for them to be an economically viable gold mining project meaning I have good faith into them becoming the next big West-African gold producer.

And a gold producer,...I don't have to explain to all what kind of benefits that will bring to Volta or its share price.

So, like I myself did with Orko Silver,...I have advised Trendtrader to stick to his guns and wait until a (gold) mine sits atop KIAKA and/or NASSARA :-)

I will in a moment or a bit later do a little TA on Volta...if I see anything of worth I'll be sure to post it.

Good pickings to all,

A little bit about Nassara, check below the highlighted section :

Nassara Gold Prospect

Location and Background

The Nassara Gold Project is located within southern Burkina Faso, closeto the borders of Ghana to the west and Cote d'Ivoire to the south. Theclosest town is the provincial capital of Gaoua. The Nassara GoldProject is located in the southwestern corner of the Gaoua Project areawhich comprises three licenses (Permis de Recherche), including Malba,Souhouera and Danyoro, for a total of 691.20 km2. All three licensesare held by a wholly-owned Burkina Faso subsidiary of Volta ResourcesInc., Gaoua Minerals SARL.

The southern Boromo Belt is also delivering stellar exploration successto Volta's neighbours to the Gaoua Project, namely ASX listed AmpellaMining Ltd at their Batie West Project and Mali Gold's DiouloumbaProject. Persistently excellent drilling results from Ampella's Konkeraprospect and a major artisanal gold rush to the Tionor site, point tothis region evolving as another major gold camp for the Birimian in WestAfrica. Volta has identified two similar prospects on extensions andstructures parallel to those being pursued by Ampella, namely the Nassaraand Gomblora gold prospects.

Geological Setting

The project is located at the southern end of the Boromo Belt, one ofthe 2300 -- 2180 Ma Birimian greenstones belts that are host to severalworld class gold deposits in West Africa. Greenstone lithologiesinclude unmetamorphosed or very low-grade rhyolite, rhyodacite, andesite, andesitic tuff, sedimentary schist, volcanosedimentary schistand basalt.

Mineralization

A combination of mapping, airborne geophysics and stream/soilgeochemistry has identified a number of gold anomalies located on N toNNW trending structures on the Gaoua Project. These are more akin tothe typical shear zone hosted gold deposits that are well known in WestAfrica. Mineralization occurs along regionally extensive shear zoneswhere local jogs and cross-cutting structures has resulted in localdilational settings which have resulted in well mineralized plunginggold ore shoots associated with extensive deformation and alteration.Volta has discovered this style of mineralization at Nassara andGomblora and is actively following these targets up.

Current Exploration

Stream sediment sampling undertaken on the Gaoua project identified goldanomalism in the southwestern corner of the project area. Followingintyerpretation of heliborne geophysical survey data, it was recognisedthat similar structures that host Ampella's resources at Konkeraoccurred in this area. A 4km long soil geochemical survey confirmedanomalism along the geophysical trend. A trench over a resistant"whaleback" ridge returned 44m @ 1.82g/t (including 20.5m @ 3.56g/t).This was followed up by 3 additional trenches which confirmed the strikeextension of the mineralization along the ridge. A 4 hole scout RCdrilling program confirmed down plunge continuity of the high gradetrench intersection, returning 15m @ 4.45g/t.

Gradient Array IP surveys have indicated a strong resistivity andchargeability contrast coinciding exactiy with the mineralised structureand this will provide another targeting tool to extend the knownmineralization at Nassara.

Presently, Volta has extended the soil sampling program along the full10km strike extent of the geophysically defined structural lineament.Trenching is already underway on similar "whaleback" ridges encounteredalong strike with co-incident gold anomalism. Drilling is planned forJune 2010 to follow up extensions and additional targets.
