Obviously, you believe that since your house has been standing for 20 years that i will be there 200, 300, 1000 years from now. You must believe this if you think that traces of oil under rocks 20 years later represents "a permanent destruction of the natural habitat". In reality, if man-kind did nothing to clean-up the oil and left every drop of it right where it lands, nature will take care of it all be itself. Fact: Bacteria will consume every molecule of hydrocarbon. Fiction: the oil spill will cause "a permanent destruction of the natural habitat".

It might be a slow process but it's still very, very efficient. Ask your great-grandfather.
