RE: WowI am hearing over here in the UK that the collapse of the USA indexes earlier was as a result of an 'errant trade' by one of the American Financial Institutions. Apparantly they tried to sell a million of something but put too many noughts on the trade and this caused the great collapse because of the automated computer trading systems. I gather Proctor and Gamble shares fell to nil for a few seconds. Why am I always in the wrong place.................................. 

Thanks for the responses to my note of yesterday. It's always good to hear the different views. The Rev has been moved to lengthy posts on the subject, he'll need a new ribbon in that old typewriter if he goes on like this. Where I was clearly wrong was in suggesting a major fall in the price of gold, that will not happen in the short term.
