RE: RE: Ekofisk dome - Sir Coop

RE: RE: Ekofisk dome - Sir CoopYes it is indeed interesting.

From the last PR:

"The penetration of the chalk reservoir wasbelow the known oil water  contact, but pressures taken confirm thelateral extent of reservoir formation. The Ekofisk Chalk formation willbe penetrated again during the drilling of the sidetrack."

OK,so there is a known oil/water contact point. To me this implies (or Ibelieve) that there is a productive chalk reservoir. It IS oil.

Now I wonder why they would keep this in the back pocket, now that the sidetrack is complete?  Could it be they really are sitting on an elephant, beyond the already excellent news of reserves doubling or more in the Andrew sands.

I leave you chaps to figure it out, but if I was sitting on something like this I'd want a little time to confirm before coming out with it.  A take-over would be unlikely given Dyas would not allow it, but hell, Stella was already a company maker, this new development could turn us all into lotto millionaires overnight.

Of course do your own DD, and by all means read the threads at IV.  Or better yet join up for a small fee and become a better informed investor.
