Bernie Madoff's 50 billion dollar Ponzi scheme...he exposed that government regulatory department's enormous

incompetence (or even possible complicity), making the Post Office look like NASA by  

comparison...my guess is that the SEC is trying show that they have developed some teeth in their current

investigation of major US financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and others...IMO no matter where

they look in that industry, if they have the right people in place,  they will likely find what they are looking for...how

about a new term describing high level white-collar crime..."going financial" ?
