RE: RE: PerspectiveThanks for the link Ncite, I forgot about that news release. Interestingly enough, that 15% treo drill sample was only about 11% heavies. Can’t win for tryin’ , huh? ;)
By the way man, it’s very disappointing to see you losing faith here. When I got into Ucore in May ’09, I remember the board being only a page or two long and you were already posting useful information. Your contributions have been valuable and appreciated and I while I can certainly understand your frustration I believe patience will be rewarded.
Ettiennesteve, you asked if the deposit is massive. USBM put it at 363M lbs of (mostly heavy) treo...is that considered massive? Someone with more experience would have to answer that but by the sounds of it, that number will prove to be conservative (hopefully very conservative). You also asked if it’s ‘only dikes’. Does this answer that question:
“In such a “sheeted vein” configuration, no single intercept is likely to exceed a few metres, yet aggregate mineralization across the entire system can be significant.” – Nov 17/09 news release
This comment by Mariano from the same news release:
“The latest results from Ucore support the prior evidence that Bokan-Dotson Ridge houses one of the most compelling HREE prospects in North America,” said Dr. Anthony Mariano, a known authority on international rare earth deposits. “The exploration data are consistent with a major rare earth system, with a higher skew towards valuable HREE’s than the bulk of western rare earth deposits. More importantly, Bokan has a singular outstanding advantage that sets it apart among the very few alternatives for HREE production in North America: Location. Situated on immediate ocean access in a pro-mining jurisdiction, Bokan has the possibility for near-term production and with virtually no requirement for major road construction. Together, these are among the most important and potentially fatal factors for expediting new mine operations.”
I’m trying to stay patient and wait this out...I think I will be well rewarded for it.
