It is documented but one must go back to the nrs regarding FWR. Cliffs actually put out the information themselves in one of their releases. As you know I am undergoing treatment in India right now and here it is 2 A.M. otherwise I would find the info or the link. I'm sure there are many who could direct you to this info or you could look it up. It is true though. Otherwise I doubt they would have got FWR so easy. I am only telling you what is documented but I can also say that it was told to a few of us in Thunder Bay some time ago.
I hope you are right regarding Noront but the way I am told is that Noront has a large land mass which  is very costly to hold. Much of it the granite. I am also told that in order for Noront to get to E1 they must drive through FNC land. Were that blocked, it would cost more. They have a good sized open pit deposit there and will make money on it once transport is available to them. This may take awhile although I have heard that Cliffs is anxious to get the rail line down. It could be much sooner than people expect. They are very good at rail lines. Among the best in the world so don't be surprised if this line is half done in a year or less. The surveying is done, they have bought up all the aggregate in the areas so they are ready to role. They are also drilling along the route I believe but am not sure how deep or if it is just to test ground. I haven't been home for a few months so have been unable to talk to the guys.
With regard the Chinese. I was told that anyone attempts anything with Cliffs, they (the Chinese) would release a MOU in a New York minute.
If I feel OK tomorrow I will try to find the release with the statement re the Chinese and repost it or pm you with it. Just so you will know. Also a phone call to the KWG office may just be the thing to do. It doesn't hurt to ask since the information has already been made public. What I don't understand is how people could forget this and continue posting for a "White Knight" to come along.
