Pipeline repaired

Pipeline repaired
A Yemeni oil pipeline bombed and ruptured by tribesman on Thursday has been mended and put back on line, while another damaged earlier in the week is still being repaired, a senior official said on Friday.
Marib provincial Governor Naji al-Zaidi, quoted by the defence ministry's 26sep.net news site, said the pipeline 10 kilometres (six miles) from the Safar oil field had been repaired.
The second, 40 kilometres from the field and damaged on Tuesday, should be repaired on Saturday, Zaidi said.
Officials in Marib province, where the attacks occurred, attributed them to members of the Al-Shabwan tribe.
Tuesday's attack was said to be in revenge for the death of kinsman Sheikh Jaber Ali al-Shabwani, a top provincial official, in a botched anti-Al-Qaeda air raid in Marib the night before.
Shabwani and four of his bodyguards were killed in the Yemeni air strike which targeted a wanted Al-Qaeda suspect who was wounded but escaped, according to security sources.
Marib is one of Al-Qaeda's Yemeni strongholds.
