RE: Level II- Bubba You are a / KOBE

RE: Level II- Bubba You are a / KOBEI'll have to take a look at Genoil a little later. But, there's a lot of folks coming up with a lot of ideas on that lately - BP even has an invitation on its Twitter page for people to submit their ideas. Hollywood actor Kevin Costner even has a solution with some kind of centrifuge oil-water separator.

I have a lot of experience with oil and gas. Very rarely do you hear of a blow-out preventer malfunctioning. Something's going on there that we don't yet know. Once the well is plugged an investigation will be conducted and we'll find out.

Here's what I'm hearing in Louisiana - government is screwing us up even worse than than the oil spill (which is bad enough). Our President has imposed a 6-month moratorium on drilling in the Gulf. This will kill the economies of both New Orleans and Houston. The little guys will lose their jobs first (roughnecks, galley workers, etc.). Then, management will be going bye-bye. We're very concerned our President is not very realistic about oil and economics. Right now, oil is the fuel of capitalism and we can't change it until somebody comes up with better, more cost-efficient technology. Couple that with the fact that he (and others of his ilk) have actually SAID they'd like to see $6.00 per gallon gasoline, and what you end up with is a common belief the moratorium will be extended indefinitely. Not good.

I don't mean to suggest BP, Halliburton, and others have no culpability - they do, and THEY need to take the bull by the horns and get this thing cleaned up - the governmnet is incompetent to clean it up. But, to destroy our economy because of an ACCIDENT is actually STUPID. Unfortunately, a lot of folks in Louisiana and Texas will pay the price. Consumers in North America will then feel it at the gas pump.
