This has been the company's raison d'etre for the last 4 years, so the cryptic press release devoid of any meaningful information is, to say the least, shocking. Remember however that these wells have, at best, a 1 in 5 chance of success and don't forget the big scores, like for example Heritage in Uganda (recently sold for more than $1 billion) were made only after a string of dry holes, so this duster doesn't rule out a big strike further out. More worrying however is the company's lack of an articulated clear game plan, and a way to get there.
