RE: BNS Reports Record Q2 Earnings

RE: BNS Reports Record Q2 EarningsAgree - I could see $60+ pretty easily once the "anxiety" ends...lol.

Watch out for them "fears" and "jitters", GrandBrac!!  Think BNS will still pay it's $1.96 dividend even if investors and analysts are "anxious"?  European debt concerns, the oil spill, Lady Gaga's fashion sense, etc...all good sensible reasons to sell the markets down another 100 pts today, don't you think?

In all seriousness though, once this nonsense passes, and it will pass, BNS should easily hit the $60 mark and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see one or more of the Canadian banks look at increasing dividends within the next 6 month cycle.  It should be pretty clear to anyone watching that not only did they weather the last two years admirably, they are actually stronger now than they were in 2007-08.  Kudos to all the Big Five for a job well done and kudos to successive Cdn governments for keeping our high standards of regulation intact and not caving in to pressure from the industry's greed.
