IMHO, Baines has always been one to state the obvious about one company that he seems to dislike for personal reasons, but ignores the fact that every other CEO and company does the same thing... this is NOT the kind of reporting that I could take seriously (nor do I suspect that many others do either)... reminds me of grade 3...
The bottom line; If you don't like the way companies compensate their employees you're in the wrong game when investing... I highly doubt that Westport management team is  going to become the guiding light for salary justification and reduction in hopes that the rest of the stock market follows suit. 
Just like pigs at the trough, they don't stock licking until it's all et' up... and even then they are looking for more... AND, IF you and I were given the chance, we'd do the same... that's why we invest in the stock market instead of buying GICs; we're greedy.
