Above link lists some of the endangered species.

However, the concern is over species diversity and food for species that can survive. They have been introducing exotic species to compensate for the die off of some of the native species.
Then there are invasive species that out compete the local stuff.

Would be more concerned about being in or near an ecological preserve or park.
