wait and see
wait and seeWe are in the wait and see mode right now. Its tough to watch especially for those who got in at those higher levels.
180 days can seem like an eternity.
I firmly believe that the AR alone is worth the investment. It is proven. It is the foundation.
We are on the cusp of finalizing the agreement in China which will place us dead centre in the solar production mecca of the world. Around October-December LPD-AR will be taking place in solar cell production facilities. The throughput will be based upon the throughput of the partner manufacturers themselves. Having the ability to use less silicon in the manufacture of silicon panels will amount to a substantial reduction in costs.
When the revenue starts the ball will get rolling.
For Vanguard... they are aggressively working to get a large area device available for validation after having created some small area devices. How long will it take?? They are using a similar process to the AR but instead of coating silicon dioxide they are coating CdSe and they are using nanotubes as the backing. Unbelievable that you could have a manufacturer that would be strong competition for First Solar with a substantially reduced investment cost.
1GW of production at a production cost of 100-150 million dollars... 2 billion in revenues from 1GW.
Tandem cells... Newcyte... and non-solar applications... all very promising.
