RE: WZR vs. Sterling Energy in Kurdistan

RE: WZR vs. Sterling Energy in KurdistanI've reiterated this a number of times.   The market is ignorant if not downright stupid.  The 2300 M find by WZR was unexpected yet the SP fell a ton ....now people are starting to realize gas is a good thing to hit, perhaps not as good as oil but good nonetheless, witness the articles about the gas consortium rearing its head again in Europe.  Why the SP would have fallen almost 2/3rds in one day on unexpected news shows how ignorant and plain stupid the market can be, at least in terms of a reflection of investment sentiment.   The optimists on this play will be proven right with time....WZR have also hit oil, it is simply a question of proofing the extent of the find, and that may be coming a lot faster than many think.  One might posit the reason Sterling popped a bit on news of a primarily gas find (although note the cuttings indicating oil) is that the Brits are more knowledgeable about the requirements for gas in Europe not too mention the Middle East itself.   None of us really want to hear this but:   As usual we North Americans think we know everything, but really don't have a sniff about a lot of things and this is a prime example.
