RE: RE: RE: WZR vs. Sterling Energy in Kurdistan
RE: RE: RE: WZR vs. Sterling Energy in KurdistanWell if you want to really splice hairs the markets can't be stupid because they aren't people But the definition of the market is "a reflection of investor sentiment" Investor sentiment can be ignorant, and stupid, as well as smart and informed. I still maintain that in the case of the 2/3rd drop in SP of WZR the investors showed stupidity or at the very, very least gross ignorance. Now those that keep saying gas is worthless in the Middle East are showing the same inane and obtuse thinking and you appear to be one of them. Haven't you read the recent articles (some on this very site) regarding other gas conglomerates forming in the Middle East. Haven't you done any homework regarding the workings of Dana Gas in the area? It seems to me you are shooting from the hip and aren't very well informed at all, notwithstanding the verbiage and lexicon you are using to try and justify your position here. Frankly, in my opinion you are either completely out to lunch or intentionally misleading.
Funny how on the one hand people are claiming that certain finds are useless because they are gas finds (even though there is a presence of cutting indicating oil and/or condensates which is light oil and /or 4% returns of oil in the mud----take your pick) and then on the other hand those same people will argue that the evidence of same in another play indicates a huge oil find. These people need to get the stories straight, they are simply being illogical, there is no other way to cut it.
Your comments about development may very well be true in that it may take some time for it to occur, but the same arguments , perhaps to a lesser degree admittedly, apply to an oil find. The point I am really making is that these resources will be developed sooner or later and they do have intrinsic wealth whether they be gas or oil Moreover, since when did condensates all of a sudden become worthless, in my experience geologists in Western Canada tell me they are "the best of the best of finds".. Once again proof that the market is/was reflecting ignorance or stupidity. In fact on every level the market has been out to lunch on WZR. I think they have already found a commercial discovery and if so it will be developed and I assure you of that as certain as the sun is going to rise tomorrow morning. You can try mightily but you simply can't excape the logic.
