RE: Implications of early drilling...Coastal - The map shows that two types of sampling are going on. There is the channel sampling which seems to be progressing towards Moon river and then there is the chip sampling that is going on (or was done) towards Signal. Usually, channel sampling is continuous (with the samples > 1.4 metres or more) while the chip sampling just involves swacking bits from a rock to determine if there is any difference between the weathered and the non weathered rock. From the map it looks like the Signal area is not that promising and the company has more or less abondaned moving forward at this point, or maybe they are waiting until the exploration of Moon river is completed before moving toward Signal. Maybe the rock type, mineralization, and alteration were not what they were looking for. I have, however, seen reports of results from channel samples regarding discovery of new ore. Given that the company has all these channel samples I was wondering when they would release the results of these instead of releasing only the drilling results. Here is a company which has done exactly that: The company is MRZ - Mirasol (another one of Coffins)
"This press release presents new results from channel sampling of theEly, Margarita and Naty veins (
Figure1), including saw-cut rock chip sampling comprising 86 channelsamples forming 41 composite channel sample lines. The Ely Vein averaged331 grams per tonne ("g/t") silver over an average width of 1.39 metresfrom 20 composite channel lines, with best results of 2.3 metres at1,430 g/t silver and 0.83 metres at 2,097 g/t silver. At the Margaritaand Naty veins, sampling of outcrop and subcrop blocks returned anaverage 555 g/t and 298 g/t silver, from 5 and 16 composite channellines, respectively."
