Drill Holes Remaining
Drill Holes Remaining
Purely speculation as they may have decided to cut some of the drillholes out or maybe didn't get to them in time, but the news release of May 4 said they had modified their drilling plans and would be drilling 124 holes. If the last news release said they had now received 108, that should leave 16 left to go.
The project overview on their website also highlights the "extra" areas they plan/hope to include in the 43-101.
Did this work? If so, you should see an illustration below taken from their website that shows the location of all the originally planned drillholes (comes to over 150 but that was modified as per above). The KMZ Central zone, and some/all of the KHZ southern zone (the one showing 38 holes) are largely what Randgold used to get their numbers. The KMZ North and South Extension, and some areas inside the main central zone will be in addition to the Randgold area. It also is hard to tell, but it is possible that not all of the KHZ South area was drilled to the extent VTR plans to becaue the text says "In addition drilling will be undertaken on a 50m x 50m pattern down to 100m depth and 100m x 50m down to 150m depth in the southern area where Randgold defined some resources on the KHZ zone. " It doesn't say they covered it well, and we know they didn't have very tight spacing. The May 4 news release also suggested that VTR had a better understanding of where the southern zone trended and were adjusting drilling to match. Might make for better results in that area. Overall, could be looking at 15% to 20% more area included than the Randgold study, and while it is shallower it does seem to have some good quality holes.
