RE: RE: RE: newsI believe that it is a little unfortunate that Dr Moore said 2 to 3 weeks because frankly, he was still likely reeling from the news that he had to defend after expecting to be the bearer of good news. Nobody had any time over that long weekend to check the primary endpoint, double check... then check it again and write up a careful press release and follow that up with a good thoughtful estimate of how long it would take to get the next level of analysis completed to a satisfactory and thorough level. Analyses like that are never straightforward and simple. It isn't just columns and rows in a spreadsheet.
'Several" weeks would have been the way to go. Two to Three was likely a knee jerk response to a reporters question and not something he would have written into the PR.
Whatever comes out next has to be crystal clear and iron clad. That level of certainty takes time and should not be rushed.
