GrrrrrrCommittee meetings will sometimes be cancelled if there is nothing to discuss i.e. it can be a positive thing. On a quick search I found 2 drugs, Egrifta and Icatibant where the meeting was cancelled and in both cases approval was given.
However the meetings can also be cancelled where sufficient information has not been received in time.
The fact that the NDA is going ahead and (so they say) with the same approval date suggests that we are in the former situation as does the partial price recovery but I find it totally baffling that the NR doesn’t say that in more explicit terms. I mean surely the FDA gives you a reason for cancelling.
Maybe they just got a letter saying it was cancelled without more, forcing ISA to issue the NR while they scramble about and try and figure out what’s going on. It’s that latter possibility that is worrying me.
Anyway, the fact that the NDA is proceeding is encouraging but, even if that is the case, and it turns out positive, I mean these guys should later hire themselves out on how to screw up NRs and pummel ones own share price. I mean what a bunch of incompetent nincompoops.
Meanwhile here we are left to wonder what’s going on.
