RE: Why this is crashing
RE: Why this is crashingMr. Morhead.. I don't think you have a good understanding of what the company is about.
They have a process that can be used to affect various industries.
Their first application is an AR film. This is a desired feature for solar panels as it enhances the cells chances of absorption and therefore increases its efficiency. All solar cells can benefit from an AR coating. Currently the AR is applied at high temperature which requires that the amount of silicon in the panel needs to be thick enough to avoid warping in the process. Solar grade silicon is by far the largest cost of the solar panel. By using a low temperature process it will enable silicon panels to be made thinner thus reducing the cost and will enable less energy to be expended in the process.
They also want to expand in the thin film area using Vanguard and Newcyte technology. Vanguard's technology should be verified in short time using CdSe.
Next, they also want to be the first to create tandem solar cells in a cost effective manner. This will drastically improve efficiency at low cost. Tandem is the future. Its the difference between black and white television to colour television.
The process go way beyond solar and so the revenue is expected to come from multiple sources and projects.
Now with regards to the Rice license. An opportunity is coming available that may enhance Natcore's position. It only makes sense for the company to consider it given its close ties to Rice University and its scientists. Rice itself being a major shareholder in Natcore might want to see its technology licensed used by someone that plans on doing something with it. The technology can play a cruical role in tandem cell production.
