RE: Shareholders Rights Plans
RE: Shareholders Rights Planscartach13,
Googling a generic shareholder rights plan would be a waste of time - every company has their own and while they share similarities they're all different.
As for reading FCO's shareholder rights plan, the reference date is July 12, 1995 and Sedar's database on FCO only goes back to July 11, 1997 so I couldn't find it. It will soon be out on Sedar but I don't know if it will be the complete but amended shareholder rights plan. Again, unless you're an attorney you WILL have some difficulty reading it. Give it a try and see how opaque it is. Finally, the reality is that a shareholder rights plan - from ANY company - is for the purpose of a hostile, not friendly, buyout/takeover. As I stated previously, in the last decade - probably more - it has happened to me just one time.
