VIT is not alone...It's not just VIT that is seeing selloffs. My Great Basin Gold shares are taking some big drops as well - and they have a new mine in Nevada and a second one in Africa coming into production now with a combined estimated production rate of 250,000 oz Au / year. With the current price of gold that does not make sense at all!
I posted the comment below on Agoracom and I'll say it again here -
I am going to stick it out with VIT - the properties are good - they have cash - they have decent reserves and they are still undervalued (even if you don't use Cove because Newmont was not happy with the NI 43-101 inferred reserves by Scott Wilson and Associates).
Eagle is an excellent play - and at Cove, Newmont wants measured and indicated reserves instead of inferred. It boils down to the definition of what constitutes a "resource". Additional in-fill drilling can accomplish this. They are proceeding with design and permitting of the access drift that will also enable them to get bulk samples for full metallurgical testing. Sounds like an okay plan to me.
Santa Fe could be big and well worth the wait. The entire VIT geo staff is currently at Santa Fe developing the structural controls for the deposit and I have great faith in their abilities.
One reason for the stock price slip may be the resilt of Raymond James "forked toungue" approach to investment guidance. They provide a target price of .90 and then dumped 500,000 shares to start the slide.
