Here We Go Again?
Here We Go Again? When this talk about the gulf started i stated a couple points along the lines of, even if H20Maxx wasn't perfect get the story out there, try leverage some exposure on 60 Minutes or Larry King, and that i couldn't help but think other companies would somehow handle this differently. Now that I read the articles about the sales of units by a competitor i can't help but think that their story is the one that i was hoping would happen for us.
I had read recently that the first attempts weren't totally successful so tweaks were made and now it works. Instead of 60 Minutes or Larry King for exposure, there was an appearance before congress. And yes, I think they handled this differently from what our company would do by means of a more aggressive approach.
So, maybe we have a competent management team but they are more old school and strategic in their approach (ie: not entrepreneurial and nimble). When all of this excitement started what happened? Well, nobody knows for sure other than the innuendo the news releases provided and our own speculation... we now have a gulf office, we hired more people, maybe marketing/IR worked on a campaign, maybe new letterhead, who knows what else. In the mean time, a competitor with what appears to be a smaller company (my guess without a marketing and IR team) gets international attention and contracts. And as for us, we're in that all too familiar situation of possibly having a product as good or better, the product remains one of the world's best kept secrets, and we the shareholders haven't got a clue as to what is going on… if anything.
An earlier post stated that congress loves a movie star which may be true. But we better not use that as an excuse because every time we hire somebody new to this company, we are very quick to acknowledge on this board the wealth of experience and great contacts these resources bring to the table. Maybe this opportunity is dead and that is why we are at a trade show in Calgary. Mind you, we probably have so many people now we're able to work both... hopefully we get some revenue soon to keep up with the hiring. Still frustrated… still confused... and after re-reading this post, maybe a little bitter...
