FIRST PHASE OF 2010 EXPLORATION PROGRAM ON THE GROUSE MOUNTAIN PROPERTY
Bard Ventures Ltd. has will start its 2010 field program on the Grouse Mountain property shortly. It is designed to follow up on encouraging results obtained in the 2009 summer field program. The Grouse Mountain property is located approximately 15 kilometres north-northwest of Houston, B.C., and is situated in the Omineca mining division.
The 2009 Grouse Mountain exploration program consisted of a soil geochemical survey and mapping program located to the southwest, and on strike of historical showings and zones of base and precious-metal mineralization. The soil geochemical survey covered an area 1.5 kilometres by 2.0 kilometres where survey lines were established at 200-metre centres. Soil samples were collected at 50-metre intervals. The results of this program defined several multielement copper, zinc and silver geochemical trends which can be traced intermittently over a distance up to 1,000 metres. The attitude of these newly defined trends closely parallel the orientation of the Rainstorm Creek, Copper Crown and Ruby mineralized zones. The results of the 2009 exploration program are considered significant identifying new mineralized trends requiring additional follow-up work.
