* US Patent office favors O1 inCitrix case
* O1 shares rise as much as 36percent
July 9 (Reuters) - Shares of Canada's O1CommuniqueLaboratory Inc (ONE.TO)rose as much as 36 percent on Friday, aday after the software maker got a favourable ruling in itspatent litigation with Citrix Systems Inc (CTXS.O).
01 Communique said the U.S. Patent andTrademark Officeruled that its 25 claims challenged by infrastructure softwaremaker Citrix were patentable.
Thesuit between the two companies dates back to February2006 when 01 Communique sued Citrix for patent infringement.
01 Communique's shares were trading upabout 28 percent at50 Canadian cents Friday morning on the Toronto Stock Exchange.They touched a 27-month high of 53 Canadian cents earlier inthe session.
