AreaI have been trying to gather new information (or info that so far I have not come across) about Altima on the internet lately. One readily available number is the area they control. In fact Digger posted some positive comments about the rarety of holding such acreage in the area between Highway 1, 2 and 43 (If memory serves me well).
The total area held by ARH is about 15,360 acres. I took the number for granted until now never giving it more thought than the fact that it is a very large parcel of land. Then yesterday while researching ARH I reflected profoundly on that figure. 15,360 acres equates to roughly 24 SQUARE MILES or 62 SQUARE KILOMETERS! I had trouble wrapping my head around such a figure imagining myself walking the territory. I'm a person who has walked real long and real far over the course of my life and I reckon that would be one bloody long journey!
That is really an immense size for a puny little company trading at a paltry 4 cents! It is HUGE and represents 1 and a half times the size of the island upon which I live (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%8Ele_Perrot) - truly expansive.
I have acquired a new perspective on ARH and have developed a fresh zeal for its ultimate success.
I just wanted to share this fact with you serious long term holders.
On another note about 15.8 Million shares (or about 10.5% of s/o) have traded since about the beginning of January 2010 (approx. 6 weeks prior to completion of the merger). Jan (1.562 M); Feb (1.604 M); Mar (2.047 M); Apr (2.351 M); May (3.099 M); June (3.138 M); July (to today - 1.986 M or extrapolated to 3.972 M to end July).
Notice the gradually creeping increase in accumulation month over month. As the price drops the purchases inversely increase. Although I am disappointed with the current share price I would read positively into this fact. Do you and what are your thoughts?
All the best of what summer has to offer us before the change of Seasons to all long term shareholders,
