RE: energy costs?I know that Tennessee has some hydro-power, but that is only because I remember that great movie "Deliverance".  I wonder how many of those bodies finally floated to the surface anyway?
I would imagine that THAT power is used only to handle periods of peak demand.
Per the nyrstar presentation, their cost of power is 34% of their operating costs and is dependent on the cost of coal and natural gas.  Google "James Bay Hydro Wiki" if your interested in what Quebec industry electricity is dependent upon.

I once rode a bicycle under the power lines that Quebec uses to export power to the U.S.   There was so much electricity in the air, that I honestly wondered if my bike's tires were going to explode!
