RE: RE: Sad State of Affairs
RE: RE: Sad State of AffairsI beauty of Canada is that we're all allowed to have an opinion. As I said there two very strong camps in the GL family so I would expect a negative reaction from at least half the people. My background is economics so i do have some knowledge about the overall investment market but I can't profess to be a world class talent because i did invest in Gl. By the way I never expected to make an overnight windfall on GL; I bought my largest position in GL at least 4 years ago and for many years was a strong supporter of mgmt. To repeat past postings - I supported mgmt till they became unprofessional in disrespecting not only myself but other retail investors. My $1.75 buyout gestimate is just that - I was told there was a previous offer in mid $2 range that almost came to fruition; I believe that the markets will deteriorate and the next offer will be less. I also believe that there are fewer interested parties than in the past and I haven't seen a 20fold purchase premium in a very long time. That doesn't mean we won't have a 20fold offer I just don't think the probability is very high. I also don't think many people are smarter than the market, the lauguage of the market is SP - it has always been and will always be. At 30 something cents the market is either saying they don't think there is much gold in the ground, they don't think the company can afford to stay in business long enough to devolop it, they don't think the mgmt team has the talent to exploit it or that there are a better oportunities for their money. Since I don't intend on investing any "new ' money I can't answer that question but you can be assured that the new money in the market is NOT afraid of missing the GL opportunity.
Isn't this a lot more entertaining ( and that's really all GL is offering at this time ) than asking Reff to be nice to G-man ? It's not like we have any results or devolopments to talk about. Have a nice evening.
