How about this theory?They are covering their butt wrt insider trading with this "ambiguous" news release.
While the average joe like you and I struggle to decide whether to buy more, or sell on a bit of an uptick, just in case the news is bad, those that "know" what the results are can buy stocks KNOWING what the results are (ie VG)
So it will look like they just "guessed" right that the news release was positive.
If there was nothing posted, and the stock went up, people would jump all over "insider" trading allegations
So this way, they can go for it with no risk.
