COPPER $3.1675 +0.0745

So it’s a good day on the markets but lately it’s been one good

day and then one bad day as the debate continues on whether the

world is okay and we’ll get back to the regular good commodity

markets in the fall or that hey folks there is a recession coming or

something worse.

Anyway, with record amount of cash sitting on the sidelines

and bond yields at the lowest in history it is a big debate, but if

there is one thing that gives us a signal that we should be optimistic,

it’s the price of copper. If there is a commodity that is a better

bell-weather of what is going on in world economies I don’t know

what it would be other than maybe the price of oil, which also is

having a good day today.

One reason for optimism in the pricing of copper and copper

stocks is the amount of copper sitting in the London Exchange as

supply continues to drop rather dramatically. Once again it is the

old story, if Asian economies are booming and if your economy is

booming you need copper...
