I think I need to make a correction here. The mine output is 500000 tons of ore a day but I doubt that they are getting 16000 ounces/gold per day. This sounds awfully high. There must be bottlenecks somewhere. I think that the output for Newmont is approc 1.5 million/ounces per year and not 5.84 million ounces/year (which is what 16,000 * 365 would yield)
