Expansion of Kansas jet operation - Friday

MONTREAL - Bombardier Inc. is getting ready to announce a major expansion of its business jet operations at Wichita, Kan. There will be a new paint facility, a customer delivery centre and a production flight test centre.

Production space will also be enlarged to make room for final assembly of Bombardier's new Learjet 85 mid-sized business jet.

State Governor Mark Parkinson is expected to announce details of the program along with Bombardier executives jn Wichita on Friday. The terms of an agreement between the State and the company will also be disclosed then, the Governor's office said.
