RE: pending legislationI have a feeling that once Industry finds out what the EPA has in store for them at the beginning of 2011 they are going to be begging the U.S. Government to draw up some sort of cap and trade agreement.
At what point this happens is immaterial to me because it does not effect most of my investments, BUT, I sure will be happy the day they pass a Bill that is similar the the proposed Bill; even though I would have liked to see a bigger number than 3.8 billion.
The part of the Bill that offsets the smallish dollar amount is the time line figure... if it is not gobbled up before the end of 2013, it will be clawed back. My guess is that the entire amount will be dispersed before next March.
The vote tomorrow in the House will be another step forward/backward/or sideways in what has become a long waiting period.
Am eager to see what the financials will look like on Wednesday.
