RE: Interesting!

RE: Interesting! It is rather interesting how people who in the past weren't able to predict the future are now able to do so with absolute certainty. And they all have the exact same prediction and the same absolute certainty about what's going to happen with regards to the US dollar, inflation and the like.

Well, their predictions didn't come true 30 years ago when I was reading the doom and gloom articles about the collapse of the United States, and they didn't come true 20 years ago when the same stories were being refreshed nor 10 years ago and needless to say by now I no longer bother reading such stuff. I've come to the conclusion that people who can truly see the future don't make their living flogging books and magazine articles. And one should be especially suspicious when all the lemmings have herded together and are running in the same direction.

I don't doubt that gold will go much higher in the next couple years, and gold stocks will follow. Maybe we will even see the predicted superspike up in the price of gold. However, it will all end very badly and the price of gold, like any cyclical commodity, will collapse sharply again as it has done in the past because that's all that gold is, a commodity, not some future currency.
