RE: dividend discussion

RE: dividend discussionyes i read that article in globe and mail..am holding 2000 ry bought at 38$.using the div to pay off the small margin loan outstanding..feel ry heading lower..at 38$ it yields 5.26% ..so this is long term hold with low cost base..producing 4000$ per year in tax advantaged income.and a small tax deduction used against employment income...i agree with david rosenberg..direction for market is down..i sold my rrsp bns at 51.42  in may..still keeping in cash..here too waiting to get bns at lower price ..higher yield... stock could drop 10..15..20%...at 45$.yield is 4.35%..at 40$..yields 4.90%..no need to rush buying decision..preservation of capital is paramount....i listened to your comment..stayed away from tmx group..happy hunting !
