RE: Ryder Trucks

RE: Ryder TrucksIMHO, this program alone, is the single most positive thing that has happened to Westport (and Alt Fuel programs all together) so far.
Collectively, these people "got it". They understand the impact that alternative fueled trucks can and will have for many years to come... I couldn't think of a better program to be associated with if I were a fledgling company.
If I was in the area, and asked myself, "Do I want to buy a NG vehicle?"... well here is my chance to try one; in the real world, under real conditions, and without risking anything. Should I decide not to go that route, I return the truck after the lease agreement and walk away.
IMHO, the Ports program did very little to progress the use of NG vehicles; and in my eyes it was just shy of an utter failure because the Ports failed to do what they bragged they were going to do at the beginning.
