So what the article is saying is that 8 years ago in 2002 when oil was worth $25 to $30/bbl, the oil in the ground was worth $3 on a new discovery. Bringing it up to todays values makes it worth $7.5 to $9 per barrel. Using the P50 reserves potential means Vast's shares will be worth around $6.50.

I can live with that.
